Back button in details page not working as expected

When clicking on a tile in the dashboard and presented with detailed information about heart rate, sleep, etc, there is a button "< Back" on top left of the screen. Most of the time when clicking on the text "Back" it disappears, leaving only the left arrow "<" visible and not going back to the home screen.

 

I can provide screen recording if necessary.

Thanks for bringing this to my attention, as well for the detailed information. This sounds odd as those options should be working well in the Fitbit app. Since your iPhone 11 Pro Max is confirmed to be a compatible device, I'd recommend to try the following steps:

  1. Log out from the Fitbit app.
  2. Verify if the Fitbit app is updated to the latest version. See this help article.
  3. Force stop the Fitbit app as described here.
  4. Reboot your phone.
  5. Open the Fitbit app, log back in to your account and check your data.

If the same keeps happening, please take a screenshot of what it's displayed in the Fitbit app and attach it in your reply. For instructions, check this post.

Lizzy, tried all advises, doesn't help. App is updated regularly.
