I've been trying to use the GPS tracking in the app for my runs (I have a charge 2, iphone xs on ios 13.5 beta, and app version 3.20.1 (953)). All day sync is enabled, and in ios fitbit has "always" access to gps and background refresh is on. When the app is tracking my run, it works normally when the app is in the foreground, but if i swipe the app away or turn the screen off, the gps tracking no longer works until I foreground the app and it jumps to my current location. Any ideas to get this to continue working when the app is minimized?
Thanks

Cant say for sure if it was the ios update or the app update or some combination of the two, but it's now working fine for me on ios14 and app version 3.24.1 (970)

I have the same issue with my Versa (v1).
Up until I updated my IOS version to 13.5.1 it was working fine - started a walking exercise, waited until GPS was connected and I could press start. After exercise clock started I could minimize my Fitbit app and/or even lock my iPhone (6S) and GPS registration continued till the end of the walk.
I hope this can be resolved quickly as having this GPS tracking I found to be very useful as a reference and an overview of the "heavy" and "light" parts of the exercise.
I'm using the latest app version 3.23.1 (966) and with the correct settings (It did work before ;-P)

Ronald

Iphone 7 running 13.5,1. Running current Fitbit app. Not sure when it last auto-updated but App store shows it current. Beginning Saturday 7/11 GPS tracking of hikes hasn't worked properly. After starting session and locking phone it doesn't track. route. When I check progress mid-hike it jumps straight line (not actual route) to the current location and mileage counts up. GPS access set to ALWAYS. Background App refresh ON. Worked fine for years until 7/11. Tried restarting the phone. Didn't help.
