Bad step tracking

I have noticed that when trying to get my steps in where ever I exercise my steps seem to be lower than the measured distance. I.e. It was a three mile walk but the Fitbit only registered 2.1 miles. Is there a way to bet set the Fitbit so it is more accurate to my size step?

Hi there @3littleladybugs and welcome aboard to our Community. Before we can proceed, keep in mind that your exercise wont be match with a GPS or pre-measured distance. As your tracker calculate distance by multiplying your walking steps.

Now down to the main point, you can enter your personal stride length to make the distance calculation more accurate. To measure your stride length, I recommend going to a track or somewhere that you know the exact distance of. Count your steps as you walk across that distance, making sure you travel at least 20 steps. To get your stride length, divide the total distance (in feet) by the number of steps taken. Once you have this information you can go to your Dashboard settings > Personal Info.

Hope this helps and let me know if you have more questions. Robot wink
