Email validation required

My Fitbit app is asking for email verification although I've had the device for approx 6 weeks. This appears to be preventing it from syncing properly. However I've entered the wrong email address by mistake and do not know how to correct this. Do I need to set up a new account? Or is there a way to correct in account settings X I don't really want to set up a new account of possible as I don't want to lose my data that I've already acquired. Thank you

Welcome to the Fitbit Community @Rezot. It's great to have you here. It won't be necessary creating a new Fitbit account. I would recommend checking out your spam folder of the email you used to set up your Fitbit account. If you are getting this notification in the Fitbit app, try logging out and back from the app and resend the verification email by tapping on Banner > Resend Verification Email. Once you have done that, check your spam folder again. Let me know how it goes.

 

If you don't know which email address you entered when your account was activated please reach out Customer Support. They might be able to provide further assistance as soon as possible.
