Tha bar code scanner doesn’t work sometimes on my iphone

Thanks for bringing this to our attention. While this is odd, may I know what error message is displayed when using the barcode scanner? Also, are the other options to log food working correctly?

In the meantime, please try the following steps and let's keep an eye on the Fitbit app to see how it goes afterward:

  1. Check if the Fitbit app is updated
  2. Force quit the Fitbit app and reboot your phone
  3. Open the Fitbit app and pull down on the screen to force a manual sync
  4. Open the food tile, tap the barcode icon and place your item's entire barcode in the scanning area. If your item is in our database, you'll see a summary. Otherwise, you'll see the option to submit it.

No error code. Some items just won’t scan.

I think there was an update to the App a week or two back and the issue is resolved!
