Battery has to be charged daily

The green light on my Fitbit Charge 2 is blinking constantly. I know that this is not normal because it didn’t always do it. Since it has been doing it, my Fitbit has to be charged everyday because the battery dies or comes close to dying. I used to be able to go several days without having to charge it, but now I can’t even go two. Has anyone experienced anything like this before?

Hi, @Stokey86, there are 3 settings for the HR monitor (flashing green lights) on the Charge 2.

1. ON setting -- the lights should continuously blink, whether the device is being worn or not.  This will reduce battery life and is unnecessary if you are wearing your Charge 2.

2. Auto setting -- lights will only blink when the Fitbit detects movement.  For most people this is the ideal setting.

3. OFF -- lights do not blink at all.

You should check your setting in your app: click on your Charge 2 icon and scroll down to Heart Rate.  If it is set to ON, switch to Auto, and sync your Charge 2 ( check that it really has synced).  If it is already set to Auto, change it to OFF and sync.  Check that the lights go off. Then re-set it to Auto and sync again.

You should also give your Charge 2 a restart.  That will shut down any background activities that could be causing unusual battery drain.  You may need to repeat the restart procedure 2 or 3 times.
