Hi in the last month I have had problems with Fitbit blaze. Every time I try to connect for a run or bike it says check Fitbit app. The only way it seems to work is by restarting phone which is incredibly frustrating. Can anyone help?

Hello @Hans80, have a warm welcome to the Fitbit Community, it's great to have you on board.
Thanks for bringing this to my attention. At this moment I would like you to check the following in your phone and tracker to make sure everything is working properly when tracking a GPS activity:
- Bluetooth is enabled on your phone and your tracker is connected (paired) to the phone. To confirm, go into your phone's Bluetooth settings and make sure you see Blaze on the list of devices.
- You selected an exercise type from the Exercise menu that has a gear icon in the bottom left corner. The gear icon represents connected GPS.
- GPS is turned on for the exercise type. Tap the gear icon and make sure the Use Phone GPS setting is on.
- Your phone is within about 20 feet of your tracker.
- Your phone can identify your location and can track your location when you're not using Wi-Fi. For more information on which phone settings you may need to adjust, see How do I use multisport or exercise mode on my tracker?
- The Fitbit app is open on your phone or running in the background. Do not force quit the Fitbit app.
I hope this can be helpful, give it a try and keep me posted in case you need anything else.

I'm having the same problem except that I don't have to restart my phone. I just have to restart the app. It was working a few weeks ago with no problems and now EVERY time I bike, I need to restart the app right before I start. This is incredibly frustrating. Any help? I'm using iOS

Hello @drtrt, thanks for joining the conversation, it's a pleasure for me to welcome you to the Fitbit Community.
Thanks for bringing this to my attention. If you have already tried the steps provided above I would like to suggest you to try the following:
- Before opening the Fitbit app and start an activity with connected GPS, please go to your phone Settings.
- Then, go to WiFi and turn it off from here, this will prevent your phone from searching a WiFi signal to connect to, which affects the GPS functionality.
- Make sure to turn it off from the Settings and not from the Control Center as this will only disconnect you from the current signal but won't turn off WiFi completely.
I hope this can be helpful, give it a try and keep me posted in case you need anything else.

I've tried disabling the WiFi before biking and using the Blaze this past week. It has not helped at all.
