My Blaze synced well until I updated to iOS11. Now many problems. Followed all of the instructions on-line; have latest software versions, closed the app, closed and opened Bluetooth, restarted my iPhone 6+, eventually deleted my Blaze device and reinstalled. It worked for a few hours and now won’t sync even though it has found the Bluetooth connection. Any suggestions?

Hello @Wrist and @Retired_44 have a warm welcome to the Fitbit Community, it's great to have you on board. Smiley Happy

Have you restarted your Blaze by pressing and holding the Back and Select buttons (left and bottom right) until you see the Fitbit logo on the screen recently? If you have and your tracker is still not syncing correctly I would like to suggest you the following:

  • Turn off the Bluetooth on your phone by going to Settings > Bluetooth, then wait for 15 seconds and turn it back on.
  • Make sure there are no other Bluetooth devices that might interfere with the syncing process.
  • Make sure you have a strong WiFi signal.

If your tracker is still not syncing correctly, my best recommendation would be setting up your tracker as a new device to reset the connection between your tracker and your phone. Don't worry, none of the information already stored in your account will be deleted.

To set up your tracker as a new device:

  1. Go to the Bluetooth settings on your phone and check if your tracker is on the list of paired devices. If it is, tap on it and select Forget this Device.
  2. Open the Fitbit app and tap on the Account symbol at the top right corner of the screen, then tap on "Set up a New Device"
  3. Choose your tracker and follow the onscreen instructions to continue
  4. When the app asks you to replace your current tracker, please replace it and continue with the process.

Additionally, if you find the Blaze taking a long time to sync after setting it up as a new device, please enable All-day Sync by going to Account > Blaze and enabling in on the menu.

I hope this can be helpful, give it a try and keep me posted in case you need anything else. Smiley Wink

Hello,
Thanks for the helpful advice. I did all of the items in your message and my Blaze worked fine for 2 days. Now it’s not working. During syncing I’ve noticed a few unusual things; (1) it flips back and forth from syncing to looking to syncing, (2) the progress bar doesn’t appear and it just keeps saying syncing but nothing happens (3) when I flip to settings > Bluetooth the Blaze often has to be forced to connect whereas it used to do it automatically in the past.

All of these problems started when I upgraded to iOS11. I have the latest blaze firmware.

Anything else to suggest?

Thanks,
Rick

I’m having the same problem, before iOS 11 update I never had any problems but now I’m struggling to sync Fitbit blaze. Any help out there?

I do this and get the error 0 message.  I do not have the up to date firmware on the tracker but when I try to update it, I get the error 18 or error 22 message.  I do have the most recent update on my phone. Thoughts on what to do next?

I’ve had to do this for the last 2 Fitbit app (iPhone) updates and the last Blaze update (two days ago). Something else is wrong. Having to shut down and restart app, Bluetooth, and Blaze after every update is a royal pain. Something besides telling users “Oh, I guess you’ll have to go through all these steps again” is not respectful of your loyal users. I’ve had to relog to the app 7 times in the last two weeks. Please have a better answer or I’ll have to consider an Apple Watch for this Christmas.

This post is only a temporary “Band-aid” and not a fix. I had to relog yet again this morning, and my Fitbit Blaze and iPhone were never separated from each other. Bluetooth was never off, and both were well charged. This is a problem within the iPhone app. Please fix the app!
