Recently received an Alta, current firmware and iOS App are installed. All Day sync is OFF. Notifications are OFF. Background App Refresh is OFF. Yet Bluetooth stays permenanty connected.
I already disconnected the Alta, deleted the app, restarted the phone, restarted the Alta, and started the process over, and still the same results.
I want it to disconnect when I'm not using the app. It's a major drain on my battery with it constantly connected and I assume trying to sync. I'll be throwing this thing at a wall pretty soon if I can't fix this, so frustrating.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Welcome to the Fitbit Community @JasonHavenPhoto, why do you say the Bluetooth stays permanently connected? Have you seen your tracker data sync with the app even if you don't open the Fitbit application?
Remember that when your tracker is paired to the Fitbit app on a mobile device, it will sync every time you open the app, and it can also sync periodically throughout the day if you have All-Day sync turned on, but turning this last feature off should certainly help to save battery life.
