Bug: changing step goal outside Challenge results in too high step count

Bug!! I set my step goal to 10k when I joined a Challenge, but afterwards restored my step goal to 20k. I have completed 12k steps. But the Challenge congratulates me "Step goal of 20k met".

 

It is interesting how this bug can arise: obviously, the Challenge remembers the old 10k goal, but the congratulations accesses the new 20k goal from outside. Inconsistent access paths to data.

Thanks for reporting this situation, indeed is very odd and I would appreciate if you could provide me the following information:

  • Are you running the latest Fitbit app?
  • Has this happened only once or have you noticed happening before?
  • Did you change your step goal on the app or the online Dashboard?
