Calls and messages continually disconnect

I continually get disconnected from both text messages and phone calls. When I try to reconnect my calls, I just get a message to make sure phone is near, it is, and make sure calls is turned on. It is. My messages don’t have an issue connecting, my issue is it staying connecting. Ive already returned one Versa 4 for this very reason hoping a new one would work. We’ll, it’s exactly the same. I NEVER had this issue with Versa 2 (messages).  I hope no sleep mode turned on, either iPhone or Versa 4.  Though, why would that make a difference when awake.

I made 4 calls to Fitbit with previous Versa 4 and nothing ever worked.  No troubleshooting ever lasted and stayed connected. It disconnects constantly. I continually have to try and connect. Calls never stay connected. I have to “forget the device” and reset back up, but to no avail for it to last a couple of hours. Now, same issue. I’m tired of this. It should work. It’s brand new.  Is this an issue with iPhone?
