iOS connected gps inaccurate

I know this issue has been raised many times, and it always gets a canned answer… but I’d REALLY love it if the iOS app would show the same gps data provided by the phone itself.  For some reason, if I start a run at the same time with Strava, MapMyRun and Fitbit, the other two will show the same time and distance … but the Fitbit app will show a longer distance and even a different time?!  How are you doing that, and why?!
