Calories Burn Decrease

ANSWERED

My app suddenly removed about 800 calories from my calorie burn logs since the beginning of my app usage.

For example, today my watch says I’ve burned 839 but the app will not show above 200 which means it looks like I’m in a massive surplus everyday.

It has done this for every single day for months and months… ruining all my calorie tracking!

Has this happened to anyone else?

Hi everyone!

and thank you @PokeTheFrog for your contribution and tips.

It is correct this is something our technical team is currently working on. Please be sure that they are on it and trying to bring the best experience for you, it is important for all of us using devices that the calorie tracking is working correctly. Any updates will be shared here but in the meantime the best tip is to make sure you keep your Fitbit App up to the newest version available.

Yes!! This has just happened to me as well - every single day since i first got a fit bit! My app now shows that i have never burnt enough calories to ever be in a deficit - i was 100% in a deficit most of this week, and the majority of the historical data as well.

SO annoying, its the main thing i use it for!!

This happened to me too this morning. Wonder if it has anything to do with the switch to Google.

I'm having the same issue.  It's even saying that during certain hours of night when I'm sleeping, I burned zero calories.  The average person burns between 40 and 80 per hour sleeping, so this is yet another thing that Fitbit has screwed up.

So tiring.

Yep! I’m furious! I’m working so hard to lose weight and now it’s saying I’ve burned 434 calories for the whole day! I have no idea what I’m burning now and I’m having to try and guess my calories. I hope it’s fixed soon

I opened a support case and they said this is now a known issue that they’re working on.

Meanwhile, I found a way around the issue! If you change the app to the “public preview” version, you can see the correct calories burned. It’s not as easy and it isn’t as good visually. But it’s better than nothing while we all wait

Thank you - glad to hear it is a known issue and they are working on it!!

Yes.  My calorie total went down by like 1000 calories a day. I keep the total in my food journal so I know I know what they were.  Yesterday's calorie count was 900 after a full day.  Obviously, I cannot track a calorie deficit with that figure.  It's so frustrating.

Thanks @PokeTheFrog. Looks like it is fixed!
