Calories burned changed dramatically overnight to half of what it should be

I normally burn 1800 to 2100 calories a day with steps around 12,000 and a weight of 120 pounds. If I lay in bed all day my resting calories burned is 1400. Today I walked 5 miles, around 11,000 steps and it's showing my calories burned as 1086, so less than if I didn't move at all. Additionally, every day this past week is now showing an extremely low calories burned for the day despite a previously higher number. This is the one reason I wear a fitbit, to know what I burn so I can eat accordingly. If this feature doesn't work I might as well throw my fitbit in the trash. What is going on with this?!

Did you get weighed on an electronic scale or change your weight somehow recently?

I've found that calories is dependent on whatever your weight is in your phone and if I get on my scale and have lost a lot of water weight or whatever my calories will change dramatically. even for readings more than a year old.

The only thing I did was change my account over to google. My last weigh in still shows up in the app. The calorie counts that it's now showing for the past week or two are below resting metabolic rate.
