Can someone please explain the Fitbit guarantee (ios)?

I'm quoting @MarreFitbit here: Please keep in mind that when a device is not supported we cannot guarantee its functionality with the Fitbit app. It might work at a certain time and then it can stop working out of nowhere after an update. This is because the app is not optimized to that device and any change could impact the performance.

I have a compatible ios device and a fitbit device capable of notifications however i'm unable to receive notifications on my fitbit device. For those that purchased fitbit devices capable of receiving notifications its a core piece of functionality that is no different then counting steps (at least that's what fitbit said when they were advertising these trackers).

Now the guarantee. @Odyssey13  and @JuanFitbit like car examples.  When there is a recall on the car even if its out of warranty the manufacturer provides a loaner car if the fix is going to take an extended period of time.  The ios app notification has been going on for 2 months and no updates have been provided.

Will Fitbit be providing ios users with compatible devices a loaner fitbit that is capable of receiving notifications until they resolve the issue? Is that how this guarantee works?

@thenameless1   I understand your frustration.  This is the situation as I understand it.  It seems there was a fundamental change in how Apple handles notifications (at a software level) when it released iOS 13.  The way I see it, Apple doesn't have to let other companies know its plans in advance.  So now Fitbit has to adapt to the Apple operating system.  This is obviously taking a very long time.

In the meantime, have you tried the Fitbit's recommendations in this thread ?

@LZeeW  I appreciate your reply, but i believe that you might be misinformed.

Apple provides the software/app developers, in this case Fitbit, with something that is called a beta version of its software. Apple released the ios 13 beta to developers shortly after its key note speech where it was officially announced. This was back on June 3, 2019. iOS 13 was released on September 19, 2019.

Fitbit had 3 months to make the necessary changes to the app and they didn't!!!!!!!

Because here we are 2 months after the release and it's still no working.

And it's hard to say that its at the software level because if it was at the software level then NONE of the trackers would be receiving notifications. Most people experiencing notification issues appear to have older fitbits so its something that fitbit did or in this case didn' do.

Typically Apple provides a beta version before all major versions just in this case it seems like fitbit opted to do nothing and continues to do nothing. I'm referencing the 5 updates that fitbit pushed to the app since 9/19/19 that haven't addressed the notification issue.
