Can't get Charge 2 to bluetooth sync with my new iphone 8 plus

Just got an iPhone 8 plus. I cant get my charge 2 to sync with bluetooth. I've tried all the starting and rebooting except I have not shut down and restarted my Charge 2. Not sure how to do that. Any help??

Hi @kclick. Sorry you're having problems but I'm glad you found us here on the forums! 

 

First of all, tap here for instructions on how to restart your Charge 2. 

 

But after you restart it, I suggest you delete the Fitbit app from your iPhone then move to a room that is free of any other bluetooth devices. Reinstall the Fitbit app and see if it will connect and sync. Please let us know how it goes.

Having the same issue. iPhone 8 Plus. I have done the tips above and it will not find my device.

Thanks for the help. As it turned out, I think I was just being impatient. I had work to do. When I came back to it about an hour later, they were connected.

@nylb — if you still have your old phone nearby it may be bonded to that.  You will want to go into Bluetooth settings on that phone and delete “Charge 2” if you see it. Or another device (iPad or computer) may be interfering. Turn off Bluetooth on any other devices in the house, then restart your phone and your CH2.

I have a similar issue. My Fitbit syncs to the app (occasionally) but I don’t receive any call/message notifications ! I’ve done all the restarting and what not but nothing seems to help. This problem started after I updated to iOS 11
