Turning off wifi worked for me. Once I was able to login, I turned wifi back on and everything works now.

Hi, I can’t log in into my fitbit app. It shows "Oops, something went wrong. Please try again.
The operation couldn't be completed (NetworkbitKit.HTTPError error 1.)"

I’m using iOS 11.0.3 and have tried all possible troubleshooting options and still unable to log in. How do I fix this?

At this moment, if you're still getting the this error in the Fitbit app, please try the following:

  • Turn off Bluetooth on your mobile device through Settings, then try to log in.
  • Turn off WiFi through Settings and try to log in.
  • Force-close the app by double tapping the button on your iPod and swipe up the app.
  • Log out from the app, restart your mobile device and open the app again.

I hope this can be helpful, give it a try and keep me posted in case you need anything else.

I've been unable to login to the fitbit App since Nov. 3. I get the error: networkbitKit.HTTPError error1.

As advised, I've tried turning off bluetooth, wifi, restarting the phone, restarting the app, updating the app, and updating the ios on the phone. Nothing seems to work. Any other suggestions? I have an iphone 5s, currently running ios 11.1.1.

I am able to login to fitbit on the computer, but it will not sync the stats/steps using the dongle. I've seen that other people have had that problem in the past. Related problem??

I use a VPN and their website as well as app has blacklisted my IP address for some stupid reason. Been a couple weeks now and I’m livid.

I am now able to log in to the Fitbit app on the phone. I deleted the app and reinstalled it, which was the solution that finally worked.

The stats are still not syncing on the website using the USB dongle. I noticed that I now have to go through an additional security step when visiting the website (just to GET to the website, not to login), such as marking "I am not a robot" or selecting pictures that match certain criteria. Perhaps the increased security is inhibiting effective syncing or use of the system in some cases, such as with @UserName111417? I am not in the U.S., which might trigger the security, but it seems it should still work.

Hello @KRice, thanks for taking the time to reply, I'm very glad to know you're now able to log in to the Fitbit app.

Please note that in order for your tracker to sync with your account and show information on your online Dashboard while using a computer, you will need to download and install Fitbit Connect (which you can do through here) Once installed, open it and log in to your account, after that you will have the option "Sync Now", click on it for your tracker to start syncing.

@UserName111417, I wanted to confirm for you that Fitbit is not blocking VPN users. If you've had this experience, it may be the result of malicious traffic uncovered from the IP address used in your VPN connection, identified as a potential risk to our site. This activity may be the result of an infected or compromised device also accessing our site from the same IP address. Alternatively, this may be the result of another malicious user who is also connecting to Fitbit through the same VPN service. In those situations, the IP block is intended to protect Fitbit and its customers from additional malicious traffic.

At this moment our team's recommendation is to attempt syncing via a different connection or on another network. You may also wish to contact your VPN provider to explain that you've had a difficult experience connecting to Fitbit as a result of other malicious users sharing the VPN service. I apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, and I appreciate your understanding on this matter. If there's anything else I can do for you, please feel free to reply.

I'm having the same problem as the others. I get the "Oops, something went wrong. Please try again." I've uninstalled and reinstalled. I've also turned off the wifi/bluetooth and tried to login that way. Any other suggestion? I'll try again in a few hours or tomorrow to see if that changes.

At this moment I would like to suggest you to update the Fitbit app as we have recently released a new version and to update the OS on your phone if you haven't yet. If you already have, please turn off WiFi and Bluetooth from your phone Settings and try to log in again.

I hope this can be helpful, if you're still having trouble with the Fitbit app please reply to me with the following:

  • iPhone/iPad model you're currently using.
  • OS version your mobile device is running.
  • App version currently installed (go to Account > Help to get it)

Thanks for your patience and understanding, if there's anything else I can do for you, please feel free to reply as well.

I was finally able to login and the app is working again! For the past couple of days the app wasn't syncing correctly and I wasn't able to see my challenges or create one. I didn't do anything differently since I last posted so either it corrected itself or maybe my app updated during the night. Prior to the login problem, I already updated the app and my iphone. Glad it's working again.
