Versa 2 with iOS app version 3.37. I am able to get notifications on my fitbit that I set up previously, but if I tap on the “notifications” menu item in the app, it changes color but nothing else happens. It doesn’t open to allow me to add notifications from other apps

Thank you for providing the additional details, @justin6789.

I recommend syncing your device and then uninstall/delete the Fitbit app from your phone. After that re-download the Fitbit app and sign back in.

Hope this helps.

Welcome to the Fitbit Community, @james.chithalen.

Thanks for the details shared in your post. I recommend trying the following:

  1. Log out from the Fitbit app.
  2. Verify if the Fitbit app is updated to the latest version. For instructions, see this help article.
  3. Force quit the Fitbit app.
  4. Reboot your phone.
  5. Open the Fitbit app and log back in to your account.

For more information about notifications, see How do I get notifications from my phone on my Fitbit device?

Hope this helps!

Thanks for the suggestion. Didn’t work for me, though. I have the latest version. Even after signing out, force closing, rebooting and logging back in, still won’t open. Every other option with an arrow will open...

Thanks again - but still no luck.

I’m on iOS 14.1, iPhone 11. Fitbit 3.37 (1022).

I do receive notifications from my phone on my Versa2. But I want to add some notifications from a new app, and can’t open the menu to do that. The ones I set up previously work great!

I’m having the exact same issue. Tried logging out/rebooting/restarting but still no luck.

My phone was stuck on iOS 14.1. Apple Store finally got it to update - as soon as I was on 14.4, it was working again

I’m having the same issue. I did almost all the recommendations; forced restart, updated the app on iPhone 8+ and iPad, logged out and in again, made sure my iPhone had the most recent update which is iOS 14.4. The only thing I didn’t do was remove the app and reinstall it (it was unsuccessful for others, so why bother). Anyway I click on Notifications and nothing happens

I was having the very same issue. As a last resort I did exactly as suggested and removed the app after syncing etc. then like magic it’s working fine and all is good now. It works great and didn’t take to long. Good luck!

Deleting (Removing) and re-adding the Fitbit app corrected my inability to add new Notifications.

BUT ...

My Yale Keypad Lock is NOT a selection I can make.  I have to choose "com.august.yale.app" but that does not seem to allow Notifications to flow from my iPhone (current iOS) to the watch.  And, the Yale Door Lock is a very chatty application.

I have the same issue, my messages occasionally come, but I no longer get my calendar and other notifications are used to get. And I also have the inability to open on my iPhone the notifications in my Fitbit app in order to add or change.

I do experience the exact same problem. I have an iPhone X max. Everything is up-to-date, I’ve tried every fix mentioned above. But still when I go into my versa two notifications just remains exactly as it is you can click it but it doesn’t open to anything, what you need in order to add more apps or troubleshoot further
