Can't open the Fitbit app from my iPhone

After the update I am unable to open my app from my iPhone home screen. I have to go into the App Store and find FitBit then click open from there. Everything else on my phone is up to date, I’ve restarted everything, and synced etc. Is this an update bug?

Hello there @Syemyim, thanks for stopping by and for the details provided about what you're experiencing when trying to access to your Fitbit app.

The issue where some customers who update to iOS 13.5 see the error message: “This app is no longer shared with you, to use it, you must buy it from the App store." has now been resolved. Please make sure your app (Version 3.21) and OS are updated to the latest versions. We appreciate you coming to the Forums to report the problem. 😉

I have already updated everything and have already said I can’t open it unless I go from the App Store. There is no error. I tap the app icon to open it and it does nothing. As mentioned, everything is up to date.

Hi @Syemyim, thank you for your reply.

I appreciate your efforts and the additional details. I recommend to uninstall and reinstall the Fitbit app to see if the issue persists.

Keep me posted on the outcome.

I did not uninstall and reinstall but this afternoon the app started working again. Not sure what happened ... It’s working again so I guess I’ll move on!

Yeah. Unfortunately now I’m noticing the battery issue. I used to get excellent battery life and now after a full charge it’s dropping % very fast. I see others are having that issue but I don’t know how to fix it. None of my settings are different so the only thing new is the update.

Hi there @Syemyim, thanks for reporting that you've noticed that the battery on your Versa Lite is draining faster than expected after the firmware update. Thanks for making sure you haven't changed anything on your watch's settings.

We find that in some cases customers charge the device incorrectly; if you want to double check our charging instructions, you can do so at How do I charge my Fitbit device?

Battery use is affected by various factors and settings. We provide tips for preventing battery drain at Can I extend my Fitbit device's battery life?

If the charging instructions and battery preservation tips don't help, meaning you're still seeing a rapid and unexplained battery drain, please let us know and we'll take a closer look.
