I called customer support last month due to not being able to connect my Fitbit to my iPhone 8. They assured me that they were aware of the problem and that a fix to it was going to be coming with the next app update. The newest app update came out 1/30/18 and nothing. It’s still having connectivity problems. Their fix was to use my OLD iPhone 6 and sync I Fitbit. This is totally acceptable. And I’m actually quite pissed that I was told that they were aware of the problem and that a fix wasn’t coming, yet still no fix.
Come on Fitbit.... you’re better than this.

Hello @Rlamb321, have a warm welcome to the Fitbit Community, it's great to have you on board.
I appreciate you have taken the time to elaborate about your tracker not being able to sync with your iPhone 8. Please note that the iPhone 8 and 8+ have already been added to the list of compatible devices since late December. Also, keep in in mind that if you're currently syncing with another phone, it's possible that a Bluetooth link has been established with that phone making it harder for the iPhone 8 to sync with your tracker. At this moment I would like to suggest you the following:
- On your iPhone 6, go to the Bluetooth settings on your phone and check if your tracker is on the list of paired devices. If it is, tap on it and select Forget this Device.
- Turn off your iPhone 6.
- Update the app on your iPhone 8 if you haven't already, we have just released a new version.
- Open the Fitbit app and try to sync by pulling down the screen with your finger, once you release it the sync should start.
- Make sure you have a strong WiFi signal
- Make sure there are no other Bluetooth devices that might interfere with the syncing process.
If your tracker is still not syncing correctly, my best recommendation would be setting up your tracker as a new device. Don't worry, none of the information already stored in your account will be deleted.
To set up your tracker as a new device:
- Open the Fitbit app and tap on the Account symbol at the top right corner of the screen, then tap on "Set up a New Device"
- Choose your tracker and follow the onscreen instructions to continue
- When the app asks you to replace your current tracker, please replace it and continue with the process.
- When a pop-up appears asking you to Pair your tracker to your device, tap on Pair and continue.
I hope this can be helpful, give it a try and keep me posted in case you need anything else!

Hello @Batzlerz, thanks for joining the conversation, it's a pleasure for me to welcome you to the Fitbit Community. I hope you're doing well @Rlamb321, thanks for taking the time to reply.
@Batzlerz, I appreciate you have taken the time to let me know your issue got resolved after trying the troubleshooting steps I've provided earlier, I'm very glad!
@Rlamb321, if your Fitbit device is still having trouble syncing my best recommendation would be enabling All-day Sync in the Fitbit app by going to Account > Your tracker and scroll down until you find the option to enable this feature. This will establish a Bluetooth link between your tracker and your phone, making it easier to sync. Additionally, your device will sync with your phone even when your phone is locked throughout the day. Don't worry, this feature will not drain the battery on your tracker or your phone faster than usual.
I hope this can be helpful, give it a try and keep me posted in case you need anything else.

I purchased an iPhone 8+ about a month ago and this is the 3rd time I have had issues with my Fitbit not receiving text and phone notifications. Last 2 times I had to purge the current app, turn off Bluetooth, turn off phone, turn back on, turn on Bluetooth, download app again, and then set up as a new Alta. This sucks. Now this time I cannot get it to work. Why does it keep doing this, how do I get it fixed, and what can I do so this never happens again?

I have tried everything listed in these posts and I still can't get texts on my fitbit. I'm going to have to get an Apple Watch, which I really didn't want to do.

Hello @NancyLL I hope you're doing well, it's nice to see you around.
I appreciate you have joined the conversation and let us know you've already tried to troubleshoot this issue on your side. Would it be possible for you to let us know exactly which troubleshooting steps have you tried so far? This will be helpful for us to check this further and determine what we should do next.
In the meantime, please go to your phone Settings > Notifications > Messages and make sure to select a tone under "Sounds" other than "None" as shown below:
Give this a try and let us know the outcome, we'll be waiting to hear from you.

I also have been unable to get my text on my fitbit (all other notifications come through). I have tried all the suggested remedies on both my Versa and Charge 2 to no avail. Getting frustrated. I actually prefer a Fitbit over Apple Watch. Is this an iOS or Fitbit issue?

Hi there - I have a Flex 2 from 2018 and it has been working fine then over Christmas it stopped syncing. I’ve tried setting it up as a new device but now the app doesn’t even see the Fitbit when trying to sync. I’ve done all the trouble shooting things - Bluetooth on and off, making sure it’s powered and close and nothing works. What else should I do? It’s only a year old! My phone is an iPhone 8.

This may be, however, when I first got my fitbit charge 4 it didn't connect right away I sat for hours trying and it finally happened. Now it won't sync up at all. So your bugs are still there. I am very unsatisfied with the product. I walk everyday. Your device is terribly inaccurate. It needs work.
