Can't "sync now" on iPhone app

The "Sync Now" feature is greyed out. I have the latest IOS and Fitbit versions. I have tried uninstalling the Fitbit App and reinstalling it twice. I have removed the tracker and put it back. I have shut down and restarted my Iphone, but nothing is making the 'Sync Now" function work. Any ideas?

@metaphyzikal  I don't have a miracle answer for you, because I haven't experienced it and can't reproduce your problem on my iPhone.

Can you force a sync if you pull down on the dashboard screen?  When you pull down, it should say Connected.  When you pull farther, it says Pull to Sync.  Pull farther and it should sync.

It shouldn't make a difference, but does turning All Day Sync on make a difference?

What model iPhone and what tracker do you have?

I am having the exact same issue. My last successful sync was yesterday morning. Iphone is current, Fitbit app is current. I have had multiple issues with my device over the last 6 months and I'm about to give up on Fitbit altogether.

Hello @skrauss and @metaphyzikal, have a warm welcome to the Fitbit Community, it's great to have you on board. It's also nice to see you around @LZeeW, thanks for your help, I'm glad to see your reply was helpful to @metaphyzikal

@skrauss, which tracker are you currently using? Have you tried to restart it? If so, I would like to suggest you the following:

  1. Restart your phone
  2. Turn off the Bluetooth on your phone for 15 seconds, then turn it back on.
  3. Make sure you have a strong WiFi signal
  4. Make sure there are no other Bluetooth devices around that might interfere with the syncing process.

Now, if your tracker is still not syncing correctly, my best recommendation would be setting up your tracker as a new device to reset the connection between the tracker and the phone. Don't worry, none of the information already stored in your account will be deleted.

To set up your tracker as a new device:

  1. Go to the Bluetooth settings on your phone and check if your tracker is on the list of paired devices. If it is, tap on it and select Forget this Device.
  2. Open the Fitbit app and tap on the Account symbol at the top right corner of the screen, then tap on "Set up a New Device"
  3. Choose your tracker and follow the onscreen instructions to continue
  4. When the app asks you to replace your current tracker, please replace it and continue with the process.
  5. When a pop-up appears asking you to Pair your tracker to your device, tap on Pair and continue.

I hope this can be helpful, give it a try and keep me posted in case you need anything else!

I am having the same issue - i’ve gone through all the troubleshooting options, but my phone cannot find my Fitbit. When i look at the Bluetooth devices that my phone can find, the Fitbit doesn’t appear. Every device is fully charged and all settings updates have been done.

I have tried all the things listed in the suggestions  and the app will not recognize or sync with my Fitbit One. I dropped the device and now cannot re-add it back to the phone. I have the latest versions of IOS and Fitbit. This has occurred since the last Fitbit update. Help!

I am having the same syncing issues.  My iphone 7 (ios 11.2.6) fitbit app is not syncing with my fitbit alta.  I synced the alta with my PC successfully.  I have followed all of the troubleshooting steps you've recommended including contacting support via chat on your site. My ios and fitbit app are up to date, I've deleted the app and reinstalled it, I've removed the alta from the app and set up as new, restarted the phone, toggled bluetooth on and off....I've tried everything!  Syncing the fitbit with my iphone app had been working until tonight.  All bluetooth devices and settings are disabled in my home except my iphone, yet, the message on the app says bluetooth is off and the "sync now" is greyed out in settings.  Contacting Apple is useless since they do not troubleshoot problems with other devices but their own and hope that fitbit support can help solve the problem. I thought I had solved my issues earlier this evening but I was mistaken.

I let my battery die completely and recharged it. Then I was able to sync

This is now working on my Charge 2 - the greyed out "Sync Now" has turned Blue. It was going to "Set up a new device" that worked. Now all my data is coming through. Usually I only have to reboot my iPhone XS

Thanks
