Can’t see all text in challenges

I can only see one line of text in the challenges—the rest of the text is cut off. This is only iOS as the Apple users are having the same problem but not the Android users. I don’t see a post for this and it’s been going on for a couple of weeks. I’ve closed and opened the app, reinstalled, rebooted my phone. Is this problem being worked on?

Hello and welcome to the Fitbit Community @1Melissa

I understand your having an issue with seeing Fitbit generated chat in challenges. I too have noticed this as well. Let me confirm with you that the chat being “cut off” is the Fitbit generated and not your chat in the challenges. I ask because my chat is clear and complete in the challenges. I use iOS as well and I was unaware that this does not affect Android users. I need to ask my Android friends in my challenges. Does your chat look similar to this:

😉 Let me look into this and I’ll reach back out to you when I find out more information

Yes, exactly—It’s the Fitbit generated chat and not the user chat. I can also see all of the user generated text. Two Android users responded they could see all and an iPhone user said he had our same issue.

@1Melissa @SunsetRunner  Not sure what's up with this, but you should be able to see two lines of text. I'm not able to replicate this on my iPhone 6, Version 12.4.2. Could you let me know the Model/Software version you are using?

13.1.3. Funny I just upgraded to a 7 from a 6 a few weeks ago so I could get iOS 13, which you can only get with 6S and up. So you may not have this issue if you’re on iOS 12?

On the challenges, it doesn't show complete sentences, or the top half of the letters are missing.

Thanks for your response but as expected, no response from the moderator in almost 2 weeks, nothing appearing to be done, the moderator trying to troubleshoot on the iOS help board without even owning a phone with the latest iOS operating system, and quite obviously she is not even aware of that fact. It’s a joke, and the only way to cope with Fitbit after 7 years is to expect absolutely nothing at all times.

Has there been any updates on this problem? It’s very aggravating not being able to see the whole Fitbit-generated comment and reading just the first line.

Hello @1Melissa@Shapor11@beckyInPA and @Carrie26a

I understand you want updated on this particular issue. I can assure you that once there is some new information or a fix is implemented information will be forthcoming. I do understand your frustration because I too love challenges and I too want to see the entire chat. (I run and host 10 challenges a day) I do know from my Android friends are not experiencing this problem. I’m an iOS user so when I saw more of you had posted I decided to try a few things but I was unsuccessful in making anything change. I tried restarting my iOS device as well as uninstalling and reinstalling the Fitbit App. I mentioned this because I was going to suggest trying this but figured I’d just try it first. I try and get an update on the situation. In the meantime I appreciate your patience and understanding.

I’m also experiencing this problem. It’s really irritating because I usually cheer when people reach milestones/get new badges or hit their step goal but I don’t want to accidentally cheer for myself if the name is at the end that’s cut off. 🤦🏽‍:female_sign: Hope they fix this soon.
