Can't set up replacement One on iPhone/ email compromised can't change it.

I can't set up my replacement One on my IPhone. It set up fine on my iPad which is old. The phone doesn't detect it. I don't receive the verification email. The email is an old hotmail account that was compromised but I can't change it. But switching over on my IPad was no problem other than someone else is using my email.

Hello @Mia2013, have a warm welcome to the Fitbit Community, it's great to have you on board. Smiley Happy

Are you able to log in to the Fitbit app with your current email and password? If so, my best recommendation would be changing the email on your account by following these steps:

  1. Log in to your account in the online Dashboard using the email+password combination
  2. Go to your personal settings
  3. Type a new email address under your name
  4. Click on Submit
  5. Type your current password and continue with the process.

You mention you're unable to change the email but I would like to know if you're getting an error message when trying to change it or if the password is incorrect as when you try to change the email associated to your account you're asked for the current password.

Please note that if you don't have access to the email account associated with Fitbit and cannot send that confirmation email, it's not possible to change your Fitbit password. Instead you'll need to create a new Fitbit account with a new preferred email address. You can then set up ("pair") your Fitbit tracker to the account and resume tracking your activity, however the previous information won't be available because you created a new account.

I hope this can be helpful, give it a try and keep me posted in case you need anything else. Smiley Wink
