Can't sync to app-iPhone owner

I was given a Fitbit flex as a gift from my friend and she told me it should be no issue with syncing to my iPhone. I haven't had luck yet and I have actually updated my phones software, deleted and downloaded the app several times, and now I'm just stuck. Any suggestions?

Mine too!! I was syncing my mom's new fitbit to her phone and mine was too close so while I worked on hers I put mine in the other room. Now the app wont connect to my tracker, the app keeps telling me to wait for it to vibrate but will not do anything after that even when the tracker vibrates correctly. I have closed the app out, restarted my phone, updated my phone and app, and also turned bluetooth and notifications on and off. Nothing is working.
