Can't turn off Auto Stride length

I want to reduce my stride lenght but it is set at auto and if I slide the button to turn offf auto it simply reverts back to auto

Resolved. Reset stride length on iPad which worked. Then found app on phone was not the latest version.

Let me help you to manually set your stride lenght in the Fitbit app on your mobile.

Just to make sure, does it revert immediately or do you have the chance to manually enter your stride length ?

If the app doesn't allow you to manually enter a stride lenght number, make sure the app is up to date on your mobile. See our help article How do I use the Fitbit app? > How do I update the Fitbit app? for instructions on how to update your Fitbit app.

Thanks for your reply. I turn off auto  stride length and it gives me a window to change it but as soon as I select a shorter length it reverts to the auto setting of 71cm and I do not see anywhere to save my revised setting. I am 81 years old and having some health problems and need to reduce stride to 52cm

@jgl163   Do you use an Android or iPhone?  Sometimes there are differences between the two apps.  You might get more help from someone who uses the same phone platform.

I am using an iPhone with the latest iOS and the app is also up to date
