Fitbit Update 1/25

If you are able to log into your Fitbit.com account but unable to log into the Fitbit App, I'd recommend making sure that you are using version 2.18 of the Fitbit iOS App. Click here to be redirected to the iOS App Store.

Also, can you please post a screenshot of whatever pop-up or error you see after you've tried logging into the App?

We are currently working to resolve this issue and your screenshots would definitely help. Thanks in advance!

Hi @ZhuFitbit,

Cannot log in using the app. It asks me to go to my settings and then set to automatic my time and date even though that's already done. I'm able to sing in via web without a problem. I have an iPhone 6.

Hi Laura,

What is the error message you see. Can you take a screenshot? Also, Are you on the latest version of the iOS app? Please check the App store and make sure your Fitbit App is updated.

Hi, I just tried logging on this morning and the app doesn't accept any of my passwords that I create through the reset email thing. I can use the password to open my account in Safari. I have the latest version of the app

I still cannot log in to the iphone app on my iphone. I have bee  having this problem since November 2015. I have the latest version of the app and instead of telling me to check that my user name are correct, the app is not letting me log on because it is now saying that an SSL error has occurred and a secure connection to the server cannot be made. Would really like this resolved. Will continue to use the app on my computer until this issue is resolved. I have included a screenshot of my current error message. Hope this helps you so that I can get this problem resolved.IMG_0462.JPG

Hello.  I just bought a FitBit Charge HR last night.  I cannot login to the FitBit App on my iPhone 4S.  I updated and am running iOS9.2.1.  It keeps telling me "an SSL error has occurred and a secure connection to the server cannot be made".  PLEASE HELP!!  I was really looking forward to getting things running before my running this weekend.

I can't log in to the app. I have an iphone 6S plus running IOS9.2 and the latest version of your app is being used. I was trying to connect to myfitnesspal and because I had logged in originally using facebook i didn't have a specific account password. I went through the "forgot password" steps and changed my password. I can't log in using those credentials nor can i create a new user as it says my account is already set up.

I've had the SSL Error isue with logging on to the FitBit app on my iPhone 6 since day 1, but today my husband was working with the support team and he noticed that a survey profile (I do surveys and research things online for extra money and this one labelled VPN basically used my shopping habits etc from my phone and they pay me every few months) I had installed on my phone was toggling and each time he was able to turn it off the app would work. So, I now have that VPN setting forced off and the app is working. I'm not sure if this helps, but if any of you have something similar on your phone that could be interupting the signal for some strange reason, then it's worth a shot. Thought I'd let everyone know. Good Luck!

I've been "locked out" of my Fitbit app for the last 4 days. It was working fine until Monday. I can log into my desktop and my tracker is connecting with the desktop fine. I've updated the app, currently version 2.20. I've tried removing the app from my iPhone and reinstalling it. It opens the app, when I log in it shows that it us logging in for a split second and then says logging out. Help please!

My app version is 2.20 and it is not giving my an option to change it to 2.18. I am having the same issues as, what appears to be LOTS of others, of not being able to log into my app. To say this is frustrating is an understatement!!!

Had trouble logging into iOS app did some back peddling and it turned out the app didn't like the time change. Change time back to original and everything works fine. Note we r visiting the US from Canada so different time zones.

The fitbit desktop website and doggle are working perfectly. The Fibit app is having problems. About a week ago, my phone would 'connect' and 'sync' my bracelet, but nothing was shown. After about a week of that, today I uninstalled the app and reinstalled it, and when I tried to log in, it would say 'Logging Out' and go back to the homescreen. Homescreen being 'Sign Up' or 'Log In'. I have a Fitbit Flex and an iPhone 6Plus. I would attach a screenshot, but it goes back to the homescreen to quickly. PLEASE FIX!

I am having the same problem. Moved time zones by an hour, Fitbit wouldn't sync so followed the instructions to reinstall the app and now can't login on iPhone 6 app but fine on browser. Tried resetting back to original time zone also tried logging in using partners account and still can't login (so it's not my account). Finally tried installing the app on an old iPad Touch and still can't login using either account. Partners Fitbit also won't sync on his IPhone 6 Plus, haven't bothered to reinstall the app on that, as doesn't seem any point. All the is over wifi as abroad and don't want to incur data charges. Don't have dongle with us so are stuck. Fitbit please help!
