Cannot update step goal on Charge 3

How often can you change your step goal?  I reduced mine to 5500 steps about a month ago. Now I can’t change it back to 10k again.  If I open my Fitbit app on my iPhone 11 and go to the dashboard, I select my picture icon in the top left corner, that brings me to my account.  I can scroll down to Goals and see my Activity and I have the ability to change the steps but there is no Save icon. So when I change the steps in this place, it reverts right back to the 5500.

So next, I go back to the dashboard again and click on the Steps feature and it takes me to the step screen. I hit the gear icon in the left upper corner, it brings me to Activity Goals. I can change the steps here and hit Done. It reverts back to the 5500 again.

I logged out and in again.  I updated the app. I forced a sync. Nothing is working. I logged into the Fitbit website - couldn’t find anywhere to change my step goal.

Any help??

Hi @SunsetRunner -- I just tried your second method -- dashboard - steps - gear - and change the number - click 'done.'  That seemed to work fine on my iPhone, and after syncing, the graphic on the CH3 seems correct as well. Changed it back without any problem 5 minutes later. Not sure why that isn't working for you, but you taking the right steps.

Here are a couple more things, to try.  After you sync (so you don't lose any activity recorded in the device) delete the app from your phone and then reinstall it.  If that doesn't work, you can also try deleting the CH3 from your account, and then setting it up as a new device.

I just tried it again and it did not work. I tried it on my husbands Fitbit and I was able to change it back and forth.  No problem.

so apparently, it’s just my Fitbit that isn’t working. So incredibly frustrating!
