Cannot update steps or calorie goals

Hi,

I have updated my steps and daily calories out goals in the iOS app but it keeps resetting back to 10k and 3570. I also tried on the Fitbit.com dashboard although it won't let me change calories, only steps, but they revert back to 10k too.

Its like it's being overridden by some other setting but I can't work out where.

@benno122 Welcome to the Fitbit Community! Follow the steps on the goal article to change your goals. Make sure to save it and to sync your tracker afterwards so new goals will be saved on the tracker.

Let me know if you keep experiencing issues with the goal not being updated! Smiley Very Happy

Thanks, that's what I was doing before but when I went back to check it kept changing the steps/calories goals back to what it was. However today it seems to have stuck

No it's gone back again. I think when it syncs with the website it overwrites the iOS goals. It's reverted back to 10k steps and 3671 cals (I had changed to 12k and 3250).

@benno122 The website shouldn't be overwriting your goal changes made in the iOS App, any change that you make in the App should take effect immediately after syncing.

If you are still having trouble with changing your goals, I'd recommend:

1. Rebooting your iOS device.

2. Logging out of the Fitbit App and then log back in.

3. Try the troubleshoots that @SantiR mentioned above one more time.

This should help you out, but keep me posted!

Thanks. I have followed your steps below and it hasn't made any difference. The link that SantiFitbit mentioned did not contain any troubleshoots, it just lists the process of editing goals that I was already following.

Yesterday I changed the steps goal to 12,000 steps on the website but cannot edit the calories goal (it is greyed out on the website). The calories goal seems to be changing by itself every day, I think it might be because I have a weight loss goal set up.

In the iOS app just now I changed to 11,000 steps and 3250 calories, just to see if it works. A couple of minutes later the goals have gone back to what they were (12k/3671).

So I can edit my steps goal in the website but not the app, and I can't edit the calories goal at all.

In case it's related, I had a premium trial which expired recently. And I have a -1000 cal weight loss goal set up.

Is there a way to reverse the accept as solution? I thought it was fixed but there was just a delay so this isn't resolved
