I have it set to calorie deficit so it calculates real time how much I can eat dependent on my calories burned. My app keeps resetting it to a calorie goal of 1500. Every single time I change it, it automatically defaults back! It’s driving me absolutely spare. For such expensive technology, the app and subsequent support surrounding it is appalling. Can anybody tell me if I’m missing something?

I have no idea but I am having the exact same issue. What's more annoying is it changed all my past ones to the same goal and now all of my past data and stats are messed up 😞 I've been a user for 7 years!

Hi @Cskeels1 I moved your post to the iOS app forum because you added the iOS label. Many users are having the same issue. I don't have any other information about this , like a timeline for a fix.

I’m having the same problem. Should be 500 calorie deficit but keeps reverting to 1382 calorie goal. It started yesterday. My phone is iOS version 18.7.1.

This. The calorie deficit and calorie calculator is one of the most important functions on the app for most people and it’s had sooo many issues in the past months. I need to upgrade my device anyways and I’m really thinking of getting something different.

This has been happening on and off for months. What is most annoying is I cannot get in contact with a human being to complain about it

Same issue. Main purpose of this app has been compromised.

Hi everyone, and warm welcome to the forums.
Thanks for the feedback. We are aware of a bug with changing the calorie target goal from the Today tab and are investigating.
As a workaround, we recommend updating your target calorie goal from the You tab: You -> Goals -> Nutrition -> Calories Target, since this path successfully saves the new value.

People don’t want a calorie target. They’re asking for this bug to be fixed asap so that we can have a real time target that correlates with the amount of calories burned. You have users that rely on this platform for their health; I have friends that are diabetic that rely on this app to help maintain their calorie intake. Do you have any time scale for when this is going to be rectified and any reassurance that this will not continue to occur (as this isn’t the first time). Fitbit are losing customers at a rate of knots.
Apologies if you’re not an employee of Fitbit. Perhaps, if this is the case, you know of someone who may be able to help.

The issue is this will still not allow for dynamic calorie counting, something I have lived by for three years now. I really hope it gets resolved quick.
thanks!

@MarioSFitbit I have followed this path several times and each time it immediately reverts back to a static calorie goal. This is a major bug and needs to be fixed.

Hey @MarioSFitbit - is there any update on this issue? It’s been very frustrating after a year of tracking using it.
