I want to buy a new Fitbit and give my old one to my daughter. How do I make sure my old Fitbit is no longer linked to my account without losing the data I have logged so far?

Do a final sync of your fitbit then set up a new account for your daughter (using a different email address). Then set up your old fitbit as a new device on the new account. This will delete any data left on it and reassign it to your daughter's account.

Your account, and all it's settings and data history, will not be affected. When you get your new fitbit simply add it as a new device.
