How do I get the display to read actual steps taken? On the 'steps' it reads as a distance! It tells me number of steps on the phone app but not on the Fitbit

Would I be right in guessing that you have an Alta or Alta HR?

 

If so, would I also be right in guessing that you have the display in portrait mode and the steps are showing as something like 2.5K?

 

If that's true too then what's happening is there isn't enough room to show the full number of steps when in portrait mode so it has to abbreviate it e.g. 2500 steps show as 2.5K

 

If you had the display in landscape mode then there is room to show the full number.
