I do not understand why Fitbit or Google or whoever keeps feeling the need to change the way things are tracked on the app. When I got my very first Fitbit years ago, all I had to do to add water on the app was open it up and tap the plus button. Easy peasy. Now in order to add water after opening the app, I have to tap the plus button or the water widget and select log water and then tap the plus or minus buttons or enter a custom amount and then press save. Why am I now having to click things a million times just to add one cup of water? I should be able to do it straight from the dashboard in 3 clicks or less. And I also don't like that the way it is viewed has changed; there used to be a nice kind of graph you could compare easily how much water you had in one day compared to the other. Not every "improvement" is actually an improvement. I wish this could change back to the way it was.
And the way you have to track sleep now is irritating. Why do I need to click the plus button, tap start sleep, then tap start sleep session? Why do I have to tap start twice? Make it make sense. Smh.

Hi@JCoke97 Your post can get moved to the iOS or Android forum for organizational purposes. But it isn't essential, because Fitbit released this update to both platforms. 9to5google This is Fitbit/Google's latest step to make all pages consistent with the design theme released in 2023. I agree. It is more inconvenient.
I have another question. Why are you starting and stopping your sleep in the Fitbit app? All Fitbit models with a heart rate monitor track sleep automatically. I looked at your public profile and saw that you joined in 2022. All models released in 2020 or later have heart rate monitors.

I have an iOS device. I wasn't really sure where I was supposed to post this.

I suppose I never really thought about it. I have always done it that way. But that is good to know, thank you!

I moved your post to the iOS app forum for organizational purposes. Like I wrote, this same update went to both platforms. The App Gallery forum is for apps and clock faces that you can download on to smartwatches. It happens a lot. No harm, no foul. If you have an future issue with the Fitbit app on your iPhone, you tend to get an answer faster in the iOS app forum.
BTW, you need to track sleep automatically to get sleep stages. You get sleep patterns when you start and stop your sleep on the Fitbit app. I think you will like the change.
