Charge 2 does not sync well with iPhone app.

Even tho I have my settings set to continuously sync, very often when I open my Fitbit app it is not current. When I attempt to pull down to sync, it just says “looking.” When I open my bluetooth devices on my iPhone 8 during this time, it doesn’t even show my charge 2. I am constantly turning off and back on bluetooth for it to find the device (which doesn’t typically help), as well as closing the Fitbit app and reopening it from my phone. Also, a side issue is that my Fitbit app is only showing my resting heart rate (even when the syncing is working) and it used to show my current heart rate and resting. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks!

Hello @Jusdebbie, thanks for joining the Fitbit Community, it's great to have you on board. Smiley Happy

I appreciate you have brought this to my attention and for letting me know the troubleshooting steps you've tried so far. At this moment, I would like to suggest you to try the following:

  1. Go to the Bluetooth settings on your phone and check if your tracker is on the list of paired devices. If it is, tap on it and select Forget this Device. If the device doesn't appear move to steps 2.
  2. Restart your phone.
  3. Open the Fitbit app and tap on Account > Charge 2
  4. Scroll down until you find "All-day Sync" and enable it.
  5. When a pop-up appears asking you to Pair your tracker to your device, tap on Pair and continue.

This process will establish a Bluetooth connection between your phone and your Charge 2, making it easier to be located by the app and even sync in the background when your phone is locked. This connection will also allow the app to show your live heart rate when you open the app. Don't worry, All-day Sync won't drain the battery on your Charge 2 or your phone faster than usual.

I hope this can be helpful, if there's anything else I can do for you, please feel free to reply.
