Charge 2 not receiving text notifications iOS (Fix)

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

So, just opened up my Charge 2 that I got for Christmas. Got everything configured and was ready to go. All notifications enabled. However, I noticed something was off when I was getting calendar alerts, and call alerts on the FitBit, but not texts alerts. Which, in my case, text alerts are more important than both.

Long story short, all settings on FitBit and the iPhone seemed to be in place. With my wife and some tedious troubleshooting, I finally figured out what was preventing text alerts.

***iOS users need to make sure that under Settings > Notifications > Messages > 'Show in Notification Center' is enabled*** (In my case I had this disabled since I didn't need texts in the notification center, but it seems this is required functionality for the FitBit to receive/send the alert)

Couldn't find this answer online anywhere so I hope it helps someone else out.
