when I bring up my app and the watch syncs, I lose around 3000 calories on both the watch and the app. When I reboot the watch, the correct calorie and hours stepped returns (I never lose miles walked or steps taken). But the moment I open the app back up it reverts back to the count without the hourly steps and inaccurate calorie count. I have rebooted the watch multiple times, and have force closed the app, signed out, restarted the phone, disabled and enabled Bluetooth, etc. this is incredibly frustrating

Welcome to the Fitbit Community, @Yandy70.
I am sorry to hear you lose calories and hourly steps count on both your Charge 3 and the app after syncing. Thank you for trying to resolve this and providing the additional details. I totally understand how you are feeling and I am here to help. Since your device is syncing and the rest of the stats don't seem to be affected, I would like to confirm if you have any third party app connected to your Fitbit account?
Meanwhile, I suggest checking this help article where you can find information about how your Fitbit device calculate calories burned and check some tips to improve accuracy: How does my Fitbit device calculate my daily activity?
Looking forward to hearing back from you.
