Hello!
Yesterday the Charge 3 I bought just this past November stopped syncing to my iPad mini 4, the 2 curved arrows would turn but no bar showed up and no info downloaded. So I went over all the info in help/forums and this is what I did based on my research:
:heavy_check_mark: Made sure my iOS devise was updated (and it was)
:heavy_check_mark: Ensured my Fitbit/iOS app was updated (and both were: 1.49.45/Dec 18)
:heavy_check_mark: Hard closed all apps on my iOS device and shut it down; did this a 2nd time with Bluetooth disabled. Enabled Bluetooth an hour later = it found and connected to my Fitbit but still no syncing (note I always hard close apps when done)
:heavy_check_mark: Rebooted my Fitbit manually thru “settings”; twice
:heavy_check_mark: Rebooted my Fitbit via charging cable; twice cuz the first time did not get a Happy Face 😀
:heavy_check_mark: I even disconnected and reconnected my Internet connection multiple times
- I was frustrated but to my surprise, about an hr later it finally synced!! I did notice before the syncing my Fitbit was not showing the correct current weight loss, but from Dec 7, however this corrected with the fresh syncing.
***** Then today, no syncing AGAIN 😤!
I went through all the above steps again, this time unsuccessfully 😩. I don’t know what else I can try and i really need this program as it’s keeping me on track after Bariatric Surgery; the sole reason for purchase. I have my follow-up with dietician this Thursday and really need it working to show my results. Please, please help!
UPDATE:
Ironically, as I created this post, somehow in the background my Fitbit partially synced - but was lacking the Sleep Info, so i pulled down on screen to update that portion...and then lost the syncing of the rest of today’s info 😡. I have no idea what’s going on. Why is it so unstable?
UPDATE 2:
Oops! I didn’t mean to accept my reply as a solution. The box was checked, I merely touched it to uncheck it then it automatically accepted, but I still need help please!!!!

Hello @happeegirlee, I hope you're doing well, it's nice to see you around the Fitbit Community.
I appreciate your participation in the Forums and for sharing your experience with us. I would also like to thank you for listing all the troubleshooting steps you've tried so far in hopes to resolve this issue. At this moment, if your Charge 3 is still having trouble syncing, my best recommendation would be to set up your tracker as a new device to reset the connection between the phone and your tracker. Note that none of the information already stored in your account will not be deleted.
To set up your Charge 3 as a new device:
- Do not remove your tracker from your account.
- Go to the Bluetooth settings on your phone and check if your tracker is on the list of paired devices. If it is, tap on it and select Forget this Device.
- Open the Fitbit app and tap on the Account symbol at the top right corner of the screen, then tap on "Set up a New Device"
- Choose your tracker and follow the onscreen instructions to continue
- When the app asks you to replace your current tracker, please replace it and continue with the process.
- When a pop-up appears asking you to Pair your tracker to your device, tap on Pair and continue.
I hope this can be helpful, give it a try and let us know the outcome.

I am having the same problem and followed your instructions but it will not connect any more. It was working ok for the past 2 weeks but last night it stopped syncing. And when I checked the Bluetooth on my iPad it was not longer connected and would not connect.
UPDATE:
Btw it is syncing to my ancient iPhone 4!

Hello @meohagan, thanks for joining the conversation, I hope you're doing well.
I appreciate your participation in the Forums and for having tried the troubleshooting steps posted above. Please note that if your device is syncing with your iPhone, it might have established a Bluetooth link with it, which is preventing your device from syncing with your iPad. At this moment, I would like to suggest you to go to the Bluetooth settings on your phone and check if your tracker is on the list of paired devices. If it is, tap on it and select Forget this Device.
After that, turn off the Bluetooth on your iPhone and go to your iPad and try to sync. I hope this can be helpful, give it a try and let us know the outcome.

I am also having issues. The syncing randomly stopped for me yesterday 1/21. I've tried everything happeegirlee said and even tried to 'replace' my charge 3 through the fitbit app but now it wont' even find it! I'm totally frustrated at this point and have no idea what else I can do. Can someone help??
UPDATE:
After an hour and a half of trying every step from every forum it is finally syncing again! Whew....until the next time....

Thank you @MarcoGFitbit, this seems to have fixed all the bugs I’ve been experiencing 🙂 Steps, sleep data & BP are no longer randomly disappearing from my iPad! Battery life is syncing, and updated info from my iPad is uploading once again to my Charge 3! I’m so very grateful. I had nightmares of having to exchange my Fitbit device. I’m unimaginably glad this worked out!!! Thanks again for your patience 😃

My charge3 stopped syncing again in July. I did a soft reboot(?) where you put on charger and hold button for 3 sec. I got a smiley face on watch face and then the long horizontal bar started to appear...it only got about 1/3 across the screen when the face and entire watch shut down. I’ve had no green light on back ever since even though it had been charged. I don’t know what to do and it’s coming up to my year anniversary of purchase Nov 25 (my dad passed and I wasn’t able to make contact sooner, sorry). Is there any warranty Fitbit can help me out with?
Thanks in advance!
