My charge 3 stopped pairing with my iPhone XR - seemed to be coincidental with an automatic ios upgrade.  I have followed all the various interventions on your web to no avail.

Hello again @SSN716

Since your  tracker is still not syncing correctly, let's try setting up your tracker as a new device to reset the connection between the tracker and your phone. To set it up as a new device:

  1. Open the Fitbit app and tap on the Account symbol at the top right corner of the screen, then tap on "Set up a New Device"
  2. Choose your tracker and follow the onscreen instructions to continue
  3. When the app asks you to replace your current tracker, please replace it and continue with the process.

😃 please come back and let me know if this does the trick

Hello and welcome to the Community @SSN716

I see your having trouble pairing your Charge 3 to your iPhone XR. You mentioned you did some troubleshooting steps already but you didn’t mention which ones you have tried. No worries. Let’s start with the basic restarting of your Charge 3.
Here’s how:

  1. Plug the charging cable into the USB port on your computer or any UL-certified USB wall charger.
  2. Clip the other end of the charging cable to the port on the back of the tracker. The pins on the charging cable must lock securely with the port.
  3. Make sure the button on your tracker is aligned with the button opening on the charging cable. You’ll know the connection is secure when the tracker vibrates and you see a battery icon on your tracker’s display.
  4. Press and hold the button to restart your tracker:
    • For Charge 2—press and hold the button on your tracker for 4 seconds. When you see the Fitbit logo and the tracker vibrates, the tracker restarted.
    • For Charge 3—press and hold the button on your tracker for 8 seconds. Release the button. When you see a smile icon and the tracker vibrates, the tracker restarted.
  5. Unplug your tracker from the charging cable.

If restarting does not resolve your syncing issue try turning your Bluetooth off then on again. If your still having problems let’s go to a force shut of your Fitbit App.

Heres how:

log of of your Fitbit App

shut off your device completely, wait 1-2 mins then restart your device

log back into your Fitbit App as you normally would with your email address and password

now try syncing

Lastly if all else fails try reinstalling the Fitbit app and reinstalling it.

Here’s how:

1. Log out of the Fitbit app and force shut the app by swiping up

2. uninstall the Fitbit App from your device

3. now completely shut down your device and wait about 1 min then restart your device

4. once your device has reloaded reinstall the Fitbit app by downloading it from the App Store

5. once it’s installed, log into your device as you normally would with username and password

6. don’t touch anything in the app...just wait until you get a prompt from your Bluetooth.

7. When prompted by your Bluetooth tap yes

8. now try to sync

😃 please let me know if this resolves your syncing issue. If I was indeed able to help you could you please tap the “choose as best answer” at the bottom of my post. I’d really appreciate it

I followed all the instructions and no luck. The iPhone XR won’t pair with Charge 3 - it did in the past. When I open Bluetooth it doesn’t appear. There is a note on your site about iOS 13, is that the problem and when will you have a fix?

I have the same problem but it is not asking me to replace current tracker and I get a screen "Connecting to Tracker...." and this goes on for hours.

I was having issues with repairing mine also.

What I ended up doing was the following.

Logging out of the app

Deleting the app

Going into my Bluetooth Settings, My Devices and Deleting the Fitbit - This is the KEY bit!!

Switched off my phone 5 mins later

Switching it back on

Downloaded the fitbit app

Logged in

Tried pairing again and it worked a treat 🙂

You could just try Going into my Bluetooth Settings, My Devices and Deleting the Fitbit paired and see if that works without all of the above - might save some time.

Hope this helps and good luck

Mine does this - I haven’t been able to connect for about 10 days. It is driving me crazy. I have updated phone, removed Fitbit app etc etc. the watch is counting my steps but the time is wrong and it is not working/connecting with phone so I can’t get notifications, track sleep and exercise over the days.
