Charge 3 won't sync after updating to iOS 15.1

As soon as I updated my iPhone to IOS 15.1 my Charge 3 will not connect / update. It is no longer discoverable as a Bluetooth device so it won’t update. I can see it from my iPad but not on my phone.

Tried a lot of suggestions from the Web but nothing works.

Any ideas / help would be appreciated.

@Zirvmo Welcome to the Community.

Thanks for taking the time to troubleshoot your Charge 3. I'm sorry this is happening and even though you've tried some steps, please give one last try to the following steps in the given order and only using your iPhone:

  1. Remove your Charge 3 from the Bluetooth settings on your iPad.
  2. Turn off other Bluetooth connections nearby.
  3. Force quit the Fitbit app and reboot your phone.
  4. Restart your tracker to refresh its performance.
  5. Open the Fitbit app, tap your profile picture > Set Up a Device.
  6. Select your Charge 3, tap Replace Device and follow the on-screen instructions.

Hope this helps.

Hi Lizzy

my Charge 3 still will not connect to my iPhone. I don’t always have my iPad with me so not connecting to my phone is a pain.

I am running iOS 15.2.1. No matter what I do the watch will not connect to Bluetooth. It is never found. Is this going to be addressed by Fitbit?  IOS 15 is now the norm on iPhones so I can’t be the only one having egos issue.

Any idea would be appreciated

Hi there, @Zirvmo.

Thanks for getting back and sharing these details with me. I'm sorry your Charge 3 is still not syncing correctly, and appreciate your efforts while working on this matter. Just to confirm, after completing the steps suggested before, did you try syncing with your iPad? When a set up process is completed, your watch will make a bond with your phone; however, if you synced with your iPad, that bod will be interrupted and you'll find issues to sync again with your other device.

If this isn't your case, please try contacting our Support team so they can investigate your tracker's behavior and provide you with further assistance. They're available via chat and phone, just click here to get connected with them and make sure to let them know what steps you've tried so far.

See you around.
