Charge HR is not able to set up.

Hi,

 

Ive been given a Fitbit Charge HR to help with my weightloss.

 

Ive created an account and d/loaded the app, but when I try and add the device, I get as far as entering the code then it just hangs on "Connecting to FitBit" with the spinning icon next to it.

 

Any help would be appreciate.

I had a similar issue. I did 2 things, not sure which fixed.

1. I upgraded iOS on my iphone. There was an update
2. I synced my fitbit to my android device. This pushed an update to the fitbit. It also meant the fitbit was associated with my account. Then when i tried to sync it to my iphone it worked.

I suspect it was the latter. Good luck

PS I think the response from fitbit on this is really poor, they should be aware of issues like this and have documentation for how to fix

@C0deye1982, in this case I would like to suggest you to restart your Charge HR, then leave it plugged in and make sure it's charging before trying to set it up again. Additionally, please make sure there are no other Bluetooth devices around that might interfere with the setup process and also that you have a strong Wi-Fi signal.
