Hello @Texuntwo, have a warm welcome to the Fitbit Community, it's great to have you on board. Smiley Happy

If your tracker is taking a long time to sync I would like to suggest the following:

  1. Restart your Charge HR
  2. Restart your phone.
  3. Turn off the Bluetooth on your phone for 15 seconds, then turn it back on.

If your tracker is still having issues syncing my best recommendation would be setting up your tracker as a new device to reset the connection between your tracker and your phone.

To set up your tracker as a new device:

  1. Go to the Bluetooth settings on your phone and check if your tracker is on the list of paired devices. If it is, tap on it and select Forget this Device.
  2. Restart your phone
  3. Open the Fitbit app and tap on the Account symbol at the top right corner of the screen, then tap on "Set up a New Device"
  4. Choose your tracker and follow the onscreen instructions to continue
  5. When the app asks you to replace your current tracker, please replace it and continue with the process.

I hope this can be helpful, give it a try and keep me posted in case you need anything else. Smiley Wink

I’ve tried all the steps listed...helps for first time or two in syncing then it goes back to taking more than 10 minutes to complete sync.

Hello @SunsetRunner, thanks for joining the conversation, it's a pleasure for me to welcome you to the Fitbit Community. Smiley Happy

I appreciate you have already tried the troubleshooting steps I've mentioned above. At this moment I would like to suggest you to enable "All-day Sync" in the Fitbit app. This will improve the connection between your tracker and your phone making syncing a bit easier.

To enable "All-day Sync" please tap on Account > Your Tracker and scroll down, then enable it. After that, force-quit the app by double tapping the home button on your phone and swipe up the app. Open it again and check if your tracker takes less time to sync.

I hope this can be helpful, give it a try and keep me posted in case you need anything else.

Hi...thank you for the reply. I have always had all day sync on in settings. Still having syncing issue...it takes more than 15 minutes for fitbit to fully sync and if you close the app; it doesn’t update at all.

I appreciate you have already tried the troubleshooting steps I provided above. Please note that it might take a bit long to sync your tracker depending on the WiFi signal you're getting, at this moment I would like to suggest to try to sync your tracker using your cellular data, and if it's still taking a long time please let me know so I can check this further.

Thanks for your patience and understanding, give it a try and let me know the outcome! Smiley Wink

What if you use a computer? Tried leaving bluetooth off for a bit like suggested for phone, no help.  Always have all day sync on (but never worked since ever).  Been like 20 mins now not even halfway done with syncing...

I, too, have problems syncing my fitbit. I've been to this forum before to see if I can speed it up.  I have done all of the steps and none of them sync, even after 20 minutes of trying.

I have also put on all day sync. Basically it drained my phone battery and never did sync.

Is there a way to plug it in?

Hello @MimiMarie and @incognitocheeto thanks for joining the conversation, it's great to have you on board.

First of all, I would like to apologize for the delay in the response. Please note that it has been tested and confirmed that All-day Sync will not drain the battery on your Fitbit device or your phone faster than usual.

With that said, I would like to ask you both for the list of troubleshooting steps you've tried so far. This will be very helpful for us to check this further and determine what we should do next.

Thanks for your patience and understanding, we'll be waiting to hear from you.

Hi Marco,

I have a charge 5. While the setting up as a new device does work, it only syncs that one time. I literally have to remove and re-add the device to ever sync. Is there a solution to this problem?

@MarcoGFitbit - I've tried restarting device, and re-pairing. My Charge 5 does not have all-day sync. As many others have said, the re-pair helps with 1-2 syncs but then all subsequent syncs just time-out. It is infuriating. I'll note this issue really started right after I got a premium membership. Perhaps worth adding to the reproduce test process.

Hello @grantc1337 and welcome to the Community.  You added on to a very old thread about a different device.  If you want help from the Community, you should start a new thread in this forum.  To get help faster, please contact Support.  Just to add one little detail -- it says Fitbit Alum under Marco's name.  He is no longer with Fitbit and can't answer your question.

Your Restart your Charge 5 link in Step 1 took me to a website that tried to sell me a Charge 5. Please repair the link.
