Has anyone noticed these charting errors on the new, improved and updated app?
Here’s a chart of my monthly steps for October showing a total of 284983 steps divided by 15 days so far in the month which equals 18998 average daily steps. Correct.
Why then in my yearly 2023 chart does it say 13722 for the month of October ?
Because the software adds the three weekly averages in the month so far which you can find below the monthly chart, which are 529 steps this week plus 18694 steps last week plus 21942 the first week of the month which total 41165 and then divideds this by three weeks equaling 13721.67 rounded to 13723 average steps for this month so far.
But the correct answer is 18998 as per the monthly chart average.
Why not just drag the answer from the monthly average working with total steps divided by total days ?
Is it just my App that’s misbehaving or is this a common problem ?
PS It’s the same algorithm for calories, distance etc
I know that the disparity will resolve itself on the last step on the last day of the month, but really ?????
I’d also love to see charting of the weeks which the old app used to show on a quarterly comparison. It gave me a challenge towards the end of the week to pick up my game. Pity it was removed. I would have thought the more comparative statistics the better. The information is right there to be shown, not have to be searched for to be found.
