Connecting to friend, fitbit issue

I can't connect to one specific friend, and of course it's THE friend I most want to challenge. The email I got said "it's not you, it's us" and that fitbit is working on the problem. It's been over 2 months now, though. What's the problem and is there anything I can do?

It's nice to see you around more often @SunsetRunner! Welcome! Man HappyI'd like to know if you're trying to connect with this friend through your online Dashboard or mobile app? Also, can you let me know if what happens if your friend tries to send you an invitation?

Mobile app. I was able to find her but neither of us can add the other.

By any chance, is your Fitbit app updated? Which mobile device is she using? Yours and hers are included in the supported devices list? Did you try to send the invitation through a computer instead? 

 

What I'm assuming here is that the app may be not running the newest version and that's why you're getting that error, but try checking for the update and try sending the invitation.

But I can add other friends, not just this one. And no, it doesn't look like my phone is on the supported device list. But I have the app and it works. ?

You can find if your phone is a supported Fitbit device by checking this list. If so, please check that the latest version is already installed. 

 

What do you mean about adding other friends, not just this one? Are you having issues just adding a specific friend? Did you try the computer method?

Yes, I've had no trouble adding any other friends, just this one in particular.  And, like I said, the message from fitbit says, "It's not you it's us..."  so I assume there's some trouble connecting our two accounts.

This is very strange let me say @SunsetRunner Smiley Frustrated. I'd recommend getting in touch with Customer Support so they can further investigate what's the trouble adding this one in particular.
