Custom max heart rate resets to zero.

I saw previous threads from last year (June 2020) about this, but the issue isn't fixed and the thread is closed with a note to start a new thread if you still have an issue.  I have to set a custom max heart rate due to medications I take that make it impossible to reach the default heart rates on Fitbit.

I'm on an iPhone XS MAX, iOS version 14.4. Versa 2 with firmware version 72.1.9 and Fitbit app version 3.39.2.  I've verified everything is up to date, I've logged out and in again and reset my phone.

Anytime I try to create a custom max heart rate on my iOS app, it does not save and goes back to zero.  I was able to do the workaround and change it at Fitbit.com today, so we will see if it stays over time.  However, the app is still not working right as of today, March 15, 2021 and people have been reporting this issue for some time.

I'd recommend that you stay on top of it. I had it change back to the default seven times in three weeks last September. I have even documented that a simple change, such as stride length, can cause the Max HR to be set back to the traditional value. Go figure.

Sometimes the app doesn't show the max HR change right away after your first sync but will show the zone definition changes.

Good luck

I have had this problem all this time, and can only set custom heart rate on the dashboard, and not in the app. But it always goes back to default after a while, and I have to go in to the dashboard and set it again.
This is really tiresome, and I hope the problem will be resolved soon.
