Data lost after syncing (Fitbit One)

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

Ongoing for weeks now... i try to sync my One with my iPhone. It reads "looking", but doesn't find it (in my pocket). I press and hold the button on the One and the One wakes up and will show yesterday's steps, but not today's (reads 0 steps). Then the sync works, but whatever I've done today is gone. I've also lost entire day's steps if I don't sync sometime during that day.

anyone else?

Hello @Irvloan, have a warm welcome to the Fitbit Community, it's great to have you on board. Smiley Happy

This seems like a very odd situation, have you restarted your tracker and your phone lately? If so, I would like to suggest you to set up your tracker as a new device in order to reset the connection between your tracker and your phone.

In order to set up your tracker:

  1. Open the Fitbit app and tap on the Account symbol at the top right corner of the screen, then tap on "Set up a New Device"
  2. Choose your tracker and follow the onscreen instructions to continue
  3. When the app asks you to replace your current tracker, please replace it and continue with the process.

Then, please check your online Dashboard and verify that your information is showing correctly, if it is, try the following in the app:

  • Force-close the app by double tapping the home button on your phone and swiping up the app. If this doesn't seem to work:
  • Log out from the app, restart your phone and log back in.

I hope this can be helpful, give it a try and let me know the outcome.

Unfortunately this did not work. I continue have a loss of steps data. For example, after waking, getting dressed for work and heading out the door I checked my Fitbit One step count (which read 816). Now at 5:30 pm following my trip to work and being on the move all day, I tried to sync my One to my phone but it still showed 816. I then had to ‘wake up’ the One by holding down the toggle for a few seconds, it then displayed Fitbit 6.0, then I tapped it again and got a step count of 1109.This indicates to me that any steps after I left my house have been lost.

The One shows as being fully charged and it’s been in my pocket all day. Typically I’m at ~6000 steps by this time.

Extremely frustrating- and considering other (non Fitbit) solutions
