Daylight saving time and step count

The daylight saving time ended yesterday here in Brazil and my iPhone did not update the hour correctly, so I manually did it. Today, in the morning, I checked my Fitbit and my steps and calorie burner is too high, if I were finishing the day. And I can't find where to change it.

Welcome to the Fitbit Community @Jcdente. It's great to have you here. There is actually no option to correct the data on your Dashboard, however you can prevent this situation from happening again by doing the following:

1. Double tap the home button on your iOS device. Your open apps will show on your device's screen.
2. Close the Fitbit app by swiping the app image in an upward motion.
3. Open the Settings app from your iPhone home screen.
4. Tap "General."
5. Tap "Date & Time."
6. Ensure that "Set Automatically" is ON.
7. Reopen the Fitbit app. The issue should now be resolved.

I moved this thread to the iOS app board because it is more related to the topic. Hope to see you around more often. Robot Very Happy

That's sad that I can't correct it. This app must be able to let us correct
the data.... the problem will not be solved doing only what you said to do.
But, ok! Tks

My phone and my wife's phones were already set up this way.  And both of our Fitbit HR's carried over the steps from the day before.  Not a big deal, but too bad there isn't a fix for this.

Hi there @enduroman, thank you for your feedback and indeed, I think it would be a great addition to correct this type of issues. I've seen some users who have requested this or experienced the same problem.

In these cases, I recommend to use Automatic Timezone, since this should sync your time based on your network and if the time change due to Daylight saving or if you travel to a different timezone, your steps should stay accordingly to the local time.

I was looking if there was a similar idea on our Feature suggestion board, but I wasn't able to find one. So feel free to leave your idea here. I think it would be a great addition in a near future.

Once again thank you for your feedback. Catch ya later.
