Discrepancies to Log Food

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I use this to log all my food. And lately I've noticed that it double logs stuff and the second one isn't really there and isn't being counted toward the calorie intake number, but I have to delete everything for that meal and readd it just to get it right. Or sometimes it counts over or under. I've deleted the app and everything and reinstalled the newest version and it still messes up. Help I depend on this and can't keep adding and deleting every meal 2-3 times.

Hi there @BunnyStrong, good to see you around. I would like to request some screenshots to understand better this issue, I don't know if is possible for you to share a couple of pictures?

The food log should not add duplicate entries, this issue is common when you have a third party app associated to your Fitbit account for food logging, but you are not mentioning anything similar, so I can assume is not the case.

Regarding the issue it overcounts in some occasions and in other don't, this might be due to the food plan. If your food plan setting is set to "Personalized," It will uses your past activity history to estimate your calorie burn for the day and increases or decreases that number if you're more or less active then usual throughout the day. Since your calorie budget is calculated based on your daily calorie burn, your calorie budget will fluctuate.

I suggest to check on your web-based Dashboard on your Food section to see if the issue repeat in the same way it does on your mobile device. I do not recommend to uninstall and reinstall the app, since this may provoke other issues with your information as this troubleshoot only applies in certain scenarios.

Hope this helps, I'll be around to see how it goes this issue.
