Updated software for Alta - app cannot locate device

I received a prompt to update my Fitbit Alta today, 10/06, and since the update completed, my app cannot locate the device. I have followed all of the steps recommended but to no avail. I also uninstall the app and reloaded it. Nothing there either. Lastly, I tried to remove the device and readd it. Nothing appears to be working.

Same thing with my charge HR. Tried to set my alarms last night, and my phone doesn't even recognize the device as Bluetooth capable. I think it's the new update. I'm pissed.

Hi there @CandyBar83 and @Chandler458, good to see you around and since its been a few weeks since you posted, let me ask you how it goes so far? Is the issue still persisting?

Good morning! Yes; my problem as been resolved. My husband found the solution after searching online and posted the fix on the message thread. Thank you for following up!

On an unrelated note and while I have your eyes, I received my Alta as an anniversary present in June. One of the springed sides broke recently. Am I able to get a new charger since I am still under the manufacture warranty?

Hi there @CandyBar83 and I'm glad to hear the issue was resolved.

 

About the replacement, it would be better if you contact our Support team so they can review your device history as your Warranty status. I would say that you are eligible, but we do not handle replacements though our Community so is best our guys form support determine this.
