Hi,
I forgot to wear my watch earlier, but knew I could add in the steps on PC (fitbit dashboard/log/add activity). I was up at around 11,000 steps and then I chose to manually add +2000 steps on the laptop.
After syncing - for a moment everything was fine, steps were added. However on the next sync, just seconds later my iphone and watch both say just 1486steps? Where has this number come from? In addition I have done a 7km run today, I can see on the dashboard on my PC with today's date - but still only 1486 steps showing on watch and iphone. How bizarre. Please help, I wish I'd never tried to add 2000 steps!

Hello @TonyH1873, thanks for joining us, it's great to have you on board.
Has this issue happened before after logging a manual activity? Which activity did you log in before this happened?
It's seems very odd that the step count decreased after syncing your tracker, nevertheless, I would like to suggest checking your online Dashboard to verify if the step count decreased as well. If the step count is normal here, it's possible the app is not updating the information correctly, which is why my recommendation would be force-closing the app by double tapping the home button and swiping up the Fitbit app. If that doesn't seem to do the trick, please log out from the app, restart your phone and log back in.
I hope this can be helpful, give it a try and keep me posted in case you need anything else.

It was my fault in the end. Instead of the 2000 steps over a period of 22 minutes I had used 22 hours, so everything was thrown out. I deleted the steps and re-submitted with 22mins and hey presto. Everything back in line!
