Distance discrepancies during Bike activity

Have just returned from a 25 mile cycle ride and the milage showing on the app is 8.3 miles. Any ideas?

Hello @Budyeates thanks for bringing this to my attention, it's nice to see you again participating in the Community Forums.

 

Seems odd that your Fitbit tracked such discrepancy with the distance recorded during your Bike exercise. To better assist you, can you please let me know which Fitbit device are you using? Did you use our SmartTrack feature to auto-recognize the exercise or, if applicable, you selected the activity from the exercises shortcuts directly from your device? Did you use GPS? When was the first time you experienced this and how many times since then? In the meantime I receive your answers, I recommend you to due to following:

 

  1. Restart your Fitbit device
  2. Uninstall the Fitbit app from your iOS mobile device
  3. Reboot your phone
  4. Make sure that the iOS version is up to date
  5. Reinstall the Fitbit app
