New to Fitbit. Do I need to keep the app open on my phone 24/7? Charge 2 HR.

Best AnswerHi, @SunsetRunner! You definitely don't need to. If you're using some features, like notifications or all-day sync, it will run in the background to some level. However, otherwise, you just need it open when you're actively doing something like syncing or using connected GPS.

Hello @SunsetRunner, thanks for joining the Fitbit Community, it's great to have you on board. It's nice to see you too @MakMak, thanks for all your help. ![]()
@SunsetRunner, please keep in mind that as @MakMak mentioned, it is not necessary for the app to be open all day in your phone, you can force-quit it if you're not using it. You can open it when doing tasks like syncing your device or using MobileRun but you can close it afterwards.
I hope this resolves your inquiry, if there's anything else I can do for you, please feel free to reply.
